Aminooxy-PEG4-azide Usage And Synthesis
DescriptionAminooxy-PEG4-azide is a heterobifunctional crosslinker containing an aminooxy group and an azide group. The aminooxy group can be used in bioconjugation. It reacts with an aldehyde to form an oxime bond. If a reductant is used, it will form a hydroxylamine linkage. The azide group can react with alkyne, BCN, DBCO via Click Chemistry to yield a stable triazole linkage. Aminooxy compounds are very reactive and sensitive; they cannot be stored for long term. Immediate use (within 1 week) is highly recommended.
UsesAminooxy-PEG4-azide is a PEG-based PROTAC linker can be used in the synthesis of PROTACs[1]. Aminooxy-PEG4-azide is a click chemistry reagent, it contains an Azide group and can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. It can also undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) reactions with molecules containing DBCO or BCN groups.
