Its benzene ring structure formula contains fluorine and chlorine functional groups and can be used in various reaction systems. It is widely applied in the field of organic synthesis. | | Synthesis | The general procedure for the synthesis of 2,4-dichlorofluorobenzene from 3-chloro-4-fluoronitrobenzene is as follows: 240 g (1.37 mol) of 3-chloro-4-fluoronitrobenzene was added to a 250 ml four-necked flask and the temperature of the reaction system was raised to 170°C. The temperature of the reaction system was raised to 170°C. The reaction system was then purged with dry chlorine. Dry chlorine gas was slowly passed in the temperature range of 170 to 180 °C. The reaction process was carried out by distillation for 8 hours and the distillate was collected. The distillate was subsequently washed with water and then with alkali to a weakly basic pH.
